Vision: To hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public with respect to the analysis, design, construction, and inspection of structures in Florida.

Mission: To improve the professional practice of structural engineering in Florida.

Objectives:

To encourage structural engineers in Florida to pursue excellence and uphold and enhance the honor, integrity, and dignity of their profession.

To advance the technical competence of structural engineers in Florida through meetings, seminars, and other educational programs.

To equip structural engineers in Florida with the knowledge and skills necessary to employ successful professional, business, and administrative practices.

To establish and maintain a network of structural engineers in Florida to exchange and disseminate information of common interest.

To ensure the adequate educational preparation of students in Florida who intend to become structural engineers upon graduation.

To serve as the collective voice of structural engineers in Florida, increasing public awareness of the profession and speaking out on relevant public policy issues.
